Prescribed Fire Training Exchange
Objectives: Conduct a series of burns in central Nebraska, provide experiential learning opportunities to participants, opportunities to work in trainee & qualified positions, learn about local fire ecology and fire management from scientists and managers. By conducting a series of controlled burns on private property, participants will practice technical firefighting skills like ignitions, holding, briefings, monitoring, engine operations and more. Fighting fire with fire: Rx toolbox to combat identified social barriers

The Prairie Project: Coupling fire and grazing
We contend here that the widespread adoption of pyric herbivory (the synergistic application of fire and grazing) and mixed-species grazing (cattle and goats) would not only make grasslands and savannas more resilient to environmental change but also enhance the profitability of livestock production systems. 3rd Great Plains Fire Summit
The Nebraska Prescribed Fire Council and its partners are pleased to announce the joint 3rd biennial Great Plains Fire Summit, 8th annual Nebraska Prescribed Fire Conference, and Patch Burn Grazing Working Group meeting on September 21 -23rd , 2021 in North Platte, Nebraska.
