The student will predict fuels characteristics at regional scales using remote sensing, and will assist with experimental fires and contribute to a fire-focused network of land managers and scientists in the Southern Great Plains. Prior experience with remote sensing and/or fire ecology is desirable. Strong, demonstrated interest in at least one of these areas is required. Start date is flexible from January-September 2026. In addition to stipend/assistantship, generous benefits and full tuition remission will be provided.
