DESCRIPTION:Event Dates and Times\n\nDay 1 – Monday\, July 7\, 2025 – 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.\nDay 2 – Tuesday\, July 8\, 2025 – 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.\nDay 3 – Wednesday\, July 9\, 2025 – 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.\n\nAbout the School \nUpon completion of this burn school\, you will be able to; \n\nEvaluate fuels\nDescribe fire behavior\nPlan a prescribed burn\nIdentify proper equipment and safety techniques\nMitigate smoke impacts\nUnderstand Texas laws & regulations\nEvaluate potential burn sites\n\nThis school will include the field component implementing a prescribed fire and the opportunity to complete the Certified and Insured Prescribed Burn Manager (CIPBM) exam as a requirement to apply for the CIPBM license from the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA). \nAny individuals who have completed the online Prescribed Burn School are welcome to attend the field day training and complete the exam. If conditions allow\, the in field component will be held in the general San Angelo area each day of the school. \nLocation and exam details will be directly sent out closer to the start date.  \nOnly lunch and beverages will be provided each day of the school.  \n
