PUTTING MONITORING INTO PRACTICE: STRATEGIES FOR LARGE-SCALE CONSERVATION
November 2, 2020 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Large-scale rangeland conservation applies modern principles of resilience to sustain intact rangeland ecosystems that are vulnerable to collapse. New technologies have emerged to aid these large-scale planning efforts, allowing more continuous monitoring of rangeland vegetation over unprecedented scales of space and time, the spatial delineation of alternative vegetation states, and where boundaries between states are breaking down over time and compromising rangeland resources.
